S.Amdt.261 to S.Con.Res.5

Date of Vote: February 4, 2021

Chamber of Origin: SenateCongress: 117th

Roll Call Number: 14 | Session Number: 1

Amendment #261 to the congressional budget duplicates COVID-19 relief efforts by creating a special restaurant grant fund. Even though the restaurant industry is already eligible for numerous benefits under the so-called American Rescue Plan and it’s $1.9 trillion in spending, this amendment is expected to provide another $25 billion in taxpayer-funded grants to the industry.1
