The PFAS Action Act of 2021 places overreaching regulations on chemical compounds that are used in thousands of consumer products including cookware, food packaging and firefighting. Specifically, the bill designates two PFAS compounds (PFOA and PFOS) as “hazardous substances” and directs the EPA to potentially designate over 7,800 other PFAS compounds as hazardous. 1
